As well as thinking about the people you are shooting, think about the background too.
Does the placement of the background complement the placement of the subjects? The classic boo-boo is to shoot your subject with a tree sprouting out of their head.
This pic of the children wouldn't work so well if Paddy in the middle was half merged into the buildings behind.
So how to change the composition of the foreground and the background so they complement each other?
Just move yourself...to the left or right or squat down or stand on tippy toes...whatever works!
